We’re Robert, Melina,
Lincoln and Grant!
We are first generation farmers, and began our journey with homesteading and farm life in 2010. We bought an old 1850s farmhouse that took us over 2 years to renovate, and then we decided it was time to add our first animals to the farm. We began with chickens, and over the years we’ve built up our farm infrastructure to accommodate additional livestock.
Our journey was with the intention to raise and grow food for ourselves, but as we shared our growing farm with others, we began to notice that there was a need in our community for fresh, healthy meat.
We care about our animals
Nutrition is an important aspect of our animals’ care and well-being, but we also want to treat our animals with love, respect and dignity. They may be destined for our freezer, but they will be treated like family until that day! Every animal has its own unique personality and quirks, and we enjoy learning about them every day.

Our farm and family mission
Most importantly, we want our life and farm to bring glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our mission verse, and farm namesake, is found in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

We practice regenerative agriculture
Regenerative agriculture uses farm animals to restore abused farmland and soil to a place of health and prosperity without the use of harsh chemicals. Our pastures had been previously used and abused for many years, always being taken from, and never given back to. We want to stop that circle of destruction, and start a cycle of regeneration. This isn’t something that will happen overnight, and may take us many years of intensive management, but we are dedicated to the process!
